As you are probably aware, the US Federal Government announced a tariff increase on all products exported from China to the United States. Effective immediately the 10% increase will undoubtedly affect technology components and products that our customers need and that PDS delivers each and every day. There is also a potential this increase could be as high as 25% beginning January 1, 2019. These increases are not specific to PDS or to any one technology manufacturer, and thus will have an impact on the industry as a whole.
PDS truly values the relationship we have with our clients and partners and we are doing everything we can to uncover additional information on how this tariff increase might affect our customers’ prices. We will continue to work with our top technology manufacturer partners and will be communicating with you when additional information is available.
PDS will make every effort to stabilize the pricing to our clients and to honor all quoted prices for as long as we can. Having said that, we understand and expect that pricing will be volatile for the next few days and we ask for your patience and partnership while we continue to monitor this situation.
