The event is coordinated with META (Midwest Educational Technology Association) Inc., with the mission is to connect Ed Tech peers, knowing that doing so will benefit their careers, and, ultimately, the educational institutions and students they serve.

The BrainStorm Conference is an annual event for K-20 technologists to network with their counterparts from throughout the Midwest and to connect with technology vendors who tailor their products for the K-20 community. The focus is on class room technology and supportive infrastructure, servers, storage, security, networking, hardware selection, system management, security, and other related technical areas. The BrainStorm Conference has a 20-year history in Wisconsin bringing together IT techs from across the upper Midwest.
